Providing go-live support at Henry Ford Hospital was awesome! I definitely felt that my background as a medical student dramatically increased my ability to assist with the transition to a new EMR by allowing me to more easily develop relationships with the physicians whom I supported. As an added bonus to the much-appreciated opportunity to make some money as a medical student, it was fun to learn about a different hospital, see a new city, and meet a lot of great people.
